"The Saturn Return in someone's life marks a point in their maturing process where all that they have built in the way of defenses, inner & outer, now stretches over every area of their mundane life - and they can view this defense network as a whole & perceive what is real and what is illusory in the structures that they have built. For this reason, many people undergo a crisis at the time of Saturn's return and often make changes in their life - lifestyle, partnerships, business, career, and ideals because the old structures are seen in a new light." Greene, Liz

Below is a poem written by my friend Katie, who is currently experiencing her Saturn return. The poem came to life as a flash of inspiration during this moment.
Wannabe Peter Pan
You hit the big three zero
And Saturn returns
Life hits you with it
All at once
"You're 30 years old you should know it by now"
"Why don't you want what they have?"
What haven't I healed? What wounds do
I still have?
I don't wanna grow up,
"it's a trap" they say
But the thing is
you gotta grow up anyway
(What do you wanna do when you grow up?)
I wanna be
Peter Pan
Constantly questioning
Why I feel so unprepared.
Spent my 20s unpacking bags.
But while they were breeding
I was healing
Still am
I'm a wannabe
Peter Pan
Friendships, they change and morph
Or disappear altogether
She hasn't reached out in a while
and I miss her smile
Was it me?
Did I do something?
Did I say the wrong thing?
I don't remember when we last laughed
So, I turn inwards
and ask:
Am I too slow
or is life going too fast?
